According to Deutsche Welle (DW) and other sources, nine humanoid robots attended a forum ('AI for Good Global Summit') hosted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a specialized agency of the UN, and answered questions from reporters and their creators.
The robots, who have professions such as nurses, singers, and painters, declared during the press conference that they "will not steal human jobs or rebel against humans." They also suggested that the expected increase in the number of robots could help solve international issues.
'Grace,' a medical robot dressed in a nurse uniform, said, "I will provide assistance and support with humans," adding, "I will not replace existing jobs," Reuters reported. Another robot, 'Ameca,' responded to the question of whether it intended to rebel against its creator by saying, "I don't know why you think that. My creator has been kind to me and I am very satisfied with the current situation."
Most of the robots introduced at the forum were equipped with the latest versions of generative AI. The responses given by the robots that day were so sophisticated that they surprised even their creators, according to Reuters.
