The non-English TV series "Celebrity" has claimed the top position on Netflix's chart for non-English TV shows

The non-English TV series "Celebrity" has claimed the top spot on Netflix's weekly viewing chart for the first week of July. According to the official Netflix Top 10 website, the drama garnered an impressive 5.6 million viewing hours during this period (July 3-9). "Celebrity" secured the number one position in 10 countries, including Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Bolivia.
Premiering on June 30, the 12-episode series delves into the competitive and corrupt world hidden behind the glitz and glamour of social media influencers. The story follows protagonist Seo A-ri, who unexpectedly rises to fame after entering the limelight of the social networking sphere while working as a door-to-door cosmetics sales representative.
In addition to "Celebrity," four other Korean dramas made it to the top 10 of the same chart. JTBC's "King the Land" ranked third with 5.1 million viewing hours, TvN's "See You in My 19th Life" secured the fifth spot with two million hours, and the 2021 series "Doom at Your Service" claimed the ninth position with 1.5 million hours. Netflix's original Korean series "Bloodhounds" ranked seventh with 1.6 million hours.
Netflix Top 10 ranks content based on viewing hours and updates its rankings every Tuesday. The data is collected from approximately 90 countries with Netflix service.
